What is Pilates?

Pilates is a gentle, low-impact form of exercise that supports both physical and mental wellbeing. Through mindful, controlled movement, it helps to improve strength, mobility, coordination and posture, while also easing tension, reducing stress and promoting better sleep. Suitable for all ages and a wide range of abilities, Pilates encourages mindful movement and builds strength from the inside out. You’ll be guided with clear instruction and gentle encouragement, with options offered so you can move in a way that feels right for you.

Pilates with Lucy

My classically based Pilates classes are small, friendly, inclusive and supportive.

Each session is thoughtfully planned and taught at a steady pace, giving you time to connect with your body and move with confidence. Classes are progressively challenging, with a strong emphasis on breathing, control and good technique.

The whole body is worked through carefully layered exercises designed to:

  • gently improve mobility and coordination

  • support posture and spinal flexibility

  • build balanced strength in the abdominals, back, glutes, arms and legs

With many years of experience, I offer clear, calm guidance and individual attention. Alternative options are always provided, so everyone can work safely and confidently at their own level.

I run two Mixed Ability Mat Pilates classes at the Burton Dassett Village Hall, Northend, Warwickshire in a friendly and supportive environment.

  • £10 Single Class

  • £50 for a 6-week block

I also teach a Mixed Ability Mat Pilates class at the lovely new and bright Southam Community Centre, Southam, Warwickshire.

  • £12 Single Class

  • £55 for a 5 Class Pass

  • £100 for a 10 Class Pass

Qualifications & Training
